KOTS Student Ambassador · paid Canadian programme

Learn to open doors in fashion. Get paid from the first hour.

A paid job introducing a personal styling app to the people who work in fashion — in person, near your university, a couple of hours a week.

C$20.17 an hour·10 hours guaranteed·paid whether anyone signs up or not

The offer, up front

C$20.17 an hour

10 guaranteed paid hours. Required onboarding, outreach, follow-up, reporting and authorised travel are paid even when no one signs up.

Fixed bonuses sit on top of wages. Base pay never depends on a registration, referral or sale.

KOTS is a personal styling app. It turns a wardrobe you love into the right outfit for today — then helps you make every new purchase count. You would be introducing it to people who work in fashion and retail.

Know what you will show

See the product before you apply.

This is the film you can show in a retail conversation. It uses the approved product claims and gives the person a clear picture before you discuss the Industry Ambassador offer.

The approved KOTS launch film. English captions are available in the player.

Where it goes

Four weeks can be the start.

Phase 1 is a complete paid assignment. Strong evidence from those four weeks may support a separate Phase 2 offer. The first cohort in each country is early enough to shape the field playbook; exceptional work may later open a route towards leading a small local team and, for the strongest performers, a longer-term career inside KOTS.

  1. Weeks 1–4

    Initial assignment

Ten guaranteed hours. Paid whether anyone signs up or not.

  2. Weeks 5–12

    Possible extension

Strong Phase 1 evidence may lead to a separate written offer for eight more weeks, up to six hours a week, with a hand in the campus strategy as well as the calls.

  3. Week 13+

    Possible team leadership

Exceptional performance in a later assignment may lead to a separate opportunity to guide a small local team, at an agreed lead rate.

Published targets govern fixed bonuses and provide evidence for any future offer. They never touch your wages. They are agreed in writing before you start, and missing one never reduces pay for work you have already done.

What you would be paid

$201.70

Guaranteed across the first four weeks — 10 hours at C$20.17 an hour.

This is the floor, not a forecast. Onboarding, outreach, follow-up, reporting and authorised travel are paid even when nobody signs up.

Fixed performance bonuses are paid through payroll on top of these wages, and are stated in the assignment issued before you start work.

The real job

Retail people trust a good conversation more than another cold message.

Your main job is to meet people who work in fashion and retail, usually in person. You introduce KOTS, show the product, give them the exact Industry Ambassador page and let them decide.

You can also introduce strong student friends to the paid hiring funnel. You never upload somebody else's details, pressure a colleague or earn a percentage of another person's work.

C$20.17 an hour, or the higher applicable provincial or territorial minimum wage.
Guarantee
10 paid hours across the first four weeks

Prepare the hard questions

What you leave with

Evidence, not empty experience.

  • ●A live dashboard showing introductions, onboarding progress and attributable outcomes.
  • ●A field-tested pitch, objection practice and weekly next-best actions based on the stage of your funnel.
  • ●A documented four-week performance record you can discuss in future sales, marketing and fashion interviews.
  • ●Direct founder attention for people whose judgement and results make that attention worth giving.

First application

Five useful minutes. No public audition.

We ask about availability, access and how you would approach the work. We do not ask for follower counts, a headshot or a public promotional post. If you pass the first screen, you receive the full preparation pack and a private interview link. Alex, a simulated store professional, asks an opening question, one natural follow-up based on your answer and one practical next-step question. The spoken interview takes about five minutes, uses your microphone and keeps your camera off. KOTS records the audio and transcript as private recruitment evidence. The simulation does not score or decide; a person reviews it. Reasonable adjustments remain available by replying to the invitation email.

Applications are read by people. Automated tools may summarise missing evidence, but they do not watch, score or reject candidates.

You and your university
Already work in retail?

The Industry Ambassador role has its own application, eligibility review and terms. Complete this Student Ambassador application here, then apply separately if both roles fit you. See the Industry Ambassador role.

How you would open the work
Your round-two interview
If you pass the first screen, we send the pitch, exact offer, 52-second launch film, FAQs and objection handlers. You then open a private link and speak with a simulated store professional. The interview has three short parts: explain KOTS, answer one relevant concern and agree a practical next step. It takes about five minutes, uses your microphone only and keeps your camera off. KOTS stores the audio and transcript as private recruitment evidence. The simulation never scores you; a person reviews the interview.

If you need a reasonable adjustment to complete the spoken interview, reply to the invitation email. We will arrange one without disadvantaging your application.
